Cookie Policy

What cookies and tracking technologies we use, and how to control them.

Last updated: 23 February 2026

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your browser and store certain information. Cookies can be "session cookies" (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent cookies" (which remain on your device for a set period).

In addition to cookies, we may also use similar technologies such as local storage, pixel tags, and server logs. This policy covers all such technologies collectively.

2. Our Website Hosting & Deployment

The MagnifAI website is hosted on Vercel and deployed via GitHub. Both platforms may collect standard server-side access logs (including IP addresses and browser user-agent strings) as part of their infrastructure operations. This is standard infrastructure logging used for security and performance monitoring — not advertising-based tracking.

3. Cookies We Use

a) Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the website to function. They cannot be disabled.

b) Functional / Performance Cookies

These improve the browsing experience. We currently use minimal third-party functional scripts.

c) Analytics Cookies

We have a Google Analytics integration prepared but it is currently disabled. If we enable analytics in future, this policy will be updated and a consent mechanism will be added before activation. At present, no analytics cookies are set.

d) Third-Party / Chatbot Cookies

Our on-site AI demo chatbot communicates with a third-party AI API to generate responses. This communication happens server-side and does not set cookies in your browser. However, the API provider may retain conversation data for a limited period in accordance with their own privacy policy.

4. Cookies We Do NOT Use

We do not currently use:

  • Advertising or retargeting cookies (e.g. Facebook Pixel, Google Ads)
  • Cross-site tracking technologies
  • Social media tracking pixels
  • Session recording or heatmap tools (e.g. Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity)

If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required by law, obtain your consent before setting such cookies.

5. Managing & Disabling Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect how the website functions. Disabling third-party cookies (such as Google Fonts) may cause fonts to fall back to system defaults.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our website and services evolve. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
